About The Position

We are seeking a part-time CDL shuttle driver for our transportation team in the Springfield, MA area. Hours will vary week to week, with a flexible schedule available mid-week and some weekend availability. This role is ideal for a semi-retiree who enjoys travel. The company has been in business for nearly 35 years, operating over 100 shuttle vehicles across New England, New York, and Florida. We provide charter services for various events including weddings, group trips, concerts, sporting events, and transportation for college teams and classes. The vehicles are newer 14 and 24-passenger shuttles that are regularly cleaned and maintained. This is a fun environment to join a growing team.

Requirements

• Must be over 20 (due to our insurance)
• Customer service experience is a must
• A valid CDL with passenger endorsement is required
• A valid medical card is also required
• Background checks and driving test will be conducted

Responsibilities

• Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can
• Safely shuttling customers to various destinations
• Opening and closing doors for patrons
• Adhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttles
• Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers and lot attendants
• Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirements
• Recording passenger counts and trip times
• Completing necessary paperwork involved in daily operations
• Assisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones etc.)
• Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness
• Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management
• Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations

Benefits

• Base pay will be $25/hour for all hours.
• Gratuities are earned on most charter jobs, with the ability to earn up to $40/hour between your base rate and tips.
