The CDL B Delivery Truck Driver runs daily delivery routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks and unloading products at each stop in the order assigned by the Transportation Department Manager. The driver operates in a cross-dock model, picking up a loaded truck from a nightly delivery at the assigned loading dock and returning the empty truck to the assigned lot at the end of the route. The role may also occasionally assist with loading trucks, palletizing products, and other duties assigned by a supervisor or manager. The driver is expected to operate routes efficiently, provide professional customer service, verify deliveries and obtain customer signatures, report discrepancies and returns, and follow company and Department of Transportation safety procedures. Work involves handling products in varied weather and traffic conditions and performing frequent physical tasks, including lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
