CDL A Truck Driver – OTR Dry Van Fleet Hiring Area: Chicago, IL. This position offers steady miles on active regional lanes with home time every other weekend. Drivers can expect to earn $1,300–$1,500 weekly with no-touch freight and automatic trucks. The regional lanes provide a predictable routine while building strong weekly mileage. Freight remains active throughout the year, and dispatch planning helps keep loads organized, minimizing driver wait times between trips. This role is designed for drivers seeking stable income and dependable home time. The equipment consists of 2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors with automatic transmissions, APUs, inverters, and refrigerators in most units. Maintenance is handled through the company shop network, and assigned equipment is regularly maintained to reduce downtime. Drivers typically stay out for 12 days, followed by a full 48-hour reset at home every other weekend. Preplanned loads ensure steady schedules and reduce downtime. The freight is dry van across multi-state lanes, mostly no-touch loads, with an average haul length of 700–750 miles. There is a mix of drop-and-hook and live loads, with consistent customer freight to maintain steady mileage. Pay includes $1,300–$1,500 weekly depending on miles and experience, detention pay for qualifying delays, and consistent weekly pay. Drivers have the option to take the truck home during resets (when approved) or park at a company location. Paid orientation includes travel, lodging, and meals. A rider and pet policy are available for qualified drivers. Support staff is available throughout each trip.
