About The Position

Albertsons Companies is seeking a reliable CDL A Truck Driver to transport products to and from stores, primarily on local hauls. The position is based at the distribution center associated with the job posting. Drivers operate tractor-trailers and other specified vehicles, complete vehicle inspections, handle delivery paperwork and orders, and load or unload products using appropriate equipment. Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
Safe driving record and clear motor vehicle record (MVR).
At least 21 years of age.
Ability to operate an 18-wheel tractor-trailer to deliver and pick up products from stores.
At least 2 years of experience driving a 53-foot tractor-trailer.
Willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Safely transport goods from one location to another.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Plan routes to meet delivery schedules.
Report issues or incidents to the dispatch team.
Maintain a clean and organized truck.
Operate a tractor-trailer, yard truck, straight truck, and related equipment as applicable.
Review paperwork for completeness and accuracy and check orders for the correct number of cases.
Deliver and unload products using equipment such as ramps, pallet jacks, load bars, and other delivery-assistance devices.
Operate vehicles safely while maintaining DOT compliance and following local, state, and federal requirements.
Make on-time deliveries and communicate professionally with customers and vendors.
