CDL A Truck Driver

About The Position

Regional driving position for CDL-A drivers out of the Jackson, MS area for a steady OTR dry van fleet. This position runs consistent interstate lanes with repeat freight, helping drivers maintain reliable weekly miles and predictable earnings. The setup works well for drivers who want structure without constant route changes and a schedule that stays consistent week to week while still allowing planned time at home. Drivers operate on a 12-day cycle followed by a full 48-hour reset at home every other weekend. Average haul lengths run 700–750 miles, allowing for steady movement and fewer short runs that break up your week. Loads are planned ahead whenever possible to keep drivers moving and reduce downtime between trips. Freight stays consistent, helping keep paychecks steady from week to week. Detention pay is available when delays qualify. Dry van freight runs across established OTR lanes with steady customer demand. Most loads are no-touch, with a mix of drop-and-hook and live loads. Freight volume remains consistent throughout the year, helping drivers avoid long gaps between assignments. Drivers operate 2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors with automatic transmissions. Most trucks include APUs, inverters, and refrigerators to support comfort on longer runs. Equipment is maintained through a company network to reduce downtime and keep schedules on track. Rider policy, pet policy, and option to take truck home when approved are available. Paid orientation with travel expenses covered.
