About The Position

American Driver is looking for CDL A drivers in Tupelo, MS. This is a straightforward opportunity for drivers with a Class A license who want to join a company that provides proper training. The training program is fully paid, allowing drivers to ride with a mentor, learn on real freight, and transition to solo driving when ready. The role involves no-touch dry van freight, approximately 60% drop and hook, and drivers can expect to drive 2,200–2,500 miles per week. Freight runs year-round with minimal downtime, and dispatch is available day and night depending on the load.

Requirements

• Class A CDL
• Age 21 or older
• Minimum 120 hours of verified instruction from an accredited commercial driving school
• No major violations in the last 3 years
• No DUI within the last 5 years
• Must pass urine and hair follicle drug test

Responsibilities

• Complete a 4-6 week paid training program with a dedicated mentor.
• Gain experience with live freight from day one.
• Transition to solo driving after completing the training program.
• Operate a Freightliner or Kenworth truck (2022–2025) equipped with APUs.
• Transport no-touch dry van freight.
• Perform drop and hook operations (around 60%).
• Drive 2,200–2,500 miles per week.
• Be available for day and night dispatch.
• Minimize downtime as freight runs year-round.
