About The Position

Albertsons Companies is seeking a CDL Driver to transport and deliver products from a distribution center to stores, primarily on local routes. The driver operates and maintains delivery equipment safely, completes inspections, handles loading and unloading, checks order and delivery paperwork, and complies with DOT and applicable local, state, and federal requirements. The role offers a $7,500 retention bonus, daily home time on predominantly local hauls, well-maintained equipment, company benefits and retirement, and a supportive work environment. Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Safe driving record and clear motor vehicle record (MVR).
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to operate an 18-wheel tractor/trailer to deliver and pick up products from stores.
• At least 2 years of experience driving a 53-foot tractor/trailer.
• Willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport goods from one location to another.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Plan routes to meet delivery schedules.
• Report issues or incidents to the dispatch team.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck.
• Operate tractor trailers and other equipment safely and effectively, including during loading and unloading.
• Review delivery paperwork for completeness and accuracy and verify the correct number of cases.
• Deliver and unload products using equipment such as ramps, pallet jacks, and load bars.
• Maintain DOT compliance and follow local, state, and federal requirements.
• Make on-time deliveries and communicate professionally with customers and vendors.
