About The Position

Regional dedicated driver opportunity running a pre-loaded route out of Polk City, FL. This is a high value, no touch freight account with dedicated fleet manager support. Drivers may also run other regional areas and pick up backhauls. Operating area covers Florida. Peak season runs October through January, no time off during this window except emergencies. No deliveries on Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day.

Requirements

Must reside within a 40-mile radius of Polk City, FL.
At least 22 years of age.
Active CDL A.
1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the past 5 years, or 6 months in the past 24 months.
Current DOT medical card.
Clean record: maximum 4 moving violations in 3 years (maximum 2 in the past year).
Maximum 3 chargeable accidents in 3 years (maximum 2 in the past 12 months).
No DUI/alcohol-related conviction in the past 10 years.
No felony theft conviction in the past 10 years.
Stable work history and good references required.

Responsibilities

Run a pre-loaded route out of Polk City, FL.
Operate within Florida.
Perform daily check-ins via Samsara or call in.
Drive at night.
Pick up backhauls.
Manage time off requests with one week notice, subject to a first come, first served basis.
Adhere to no time off during peak season (October-January) except for emergencies.
Ensure no deliveries on Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day.
