About The Position

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL A Transit Driver with a Doubles Endorsement to transport loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, from GFS Distribution Centers or from point-to-point via night transit. This position offers night shifts, meaning drivers are home every day, and requires no touch freight. Gordon Food Service emphasizes safety and respect for its employees.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Minimum of 1 year driving experience with your class A
• Doubles (T) endorsement required
• Must be able to operate a 10 speed transmission
• Must be able to push and pull up to 50lbs (connecting trailers)
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent
