About The Position

The CDL A Shuttle Driver uses company trucks to transport product safely and on time between drop lot locations in Columbiana, Lorain, or Canton and the company’s main facility in Solon, Ohio. The role involves hauling fully loaded trailers, handling related paperwork and inspections, and coordinating trailer placement and load assignments with the shift manager. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. until approximately 1:00 or 2:00 a.m.

Requirements

Previous experience is preferred.
Basic math skills.
Problem-solving and organizational skills.
Knowledge of D.O.T. and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and guidelines.
Ability to operate company trucks, forklifts, and other equipment.
Ability to drive long distances and for extended periods.
Effective communication skills.
Clean driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Class A Commercial Driver’s License required.
Current driver’s medical card.
Ability to perform duties in various outdoor weather conditions.
Ability to perform physical activities involving considerable use of the arms and legs and whole-body movement, including lifting and bending.

Responsibilities

Inspect assigned vehicles daily for mechanical problems.
Keep the cab and trailer clean.
Complete D.O.T.-regulated pre-trip and post-trip inspections and submit documentation daily.
Pick up and deliver loads within required time constraints.
Ensure product is loaded accurately and within weight restrictions.
Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and on time.
Coordinate with the shift manager to spot trailers and ensure loads are assigned to the proper trailers.
Operate equipment safely and efficiently within D.O.T. guidelines.
Comply with all D.O.T. regulations.
