CDL A Regional Flatbed Driver
About The Position
A regional Class A CDL opportunity is hiring experienced flatbed drivers for consistent freight across the Eastern half of the United States. Drivers can expect strong weekly earnings, modern automatic equipment, and a minimum 34-hour weekend reset. This role involves regional routes throughout the Eastern half of the United States, with no NYC. Drivers will handle new propane tank freight using step-deck flatbed trailers and operate modern 2020–2023 Freightliner or Kenworth tractors with automatic transmissions, governed at 65 MPH. Driver-assist unloading is provided, but drivers are responsible for verifying cargo securement.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
- At least 6 months of verified flatbed experience within the last 3 years
- Hazmat endorsement required
- Winter driving experience required
- Must be comfortable operating a step-deck flatbed
- Must be able to properly secure and verify cargo
- Must be willing to assist with unloading
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer regionally across the Eastern half of the United States.
- Handle new propane tank freight on step-deck flatbed trailers.
- Verify cargo securement.
- Assist with unloading.
- Complete 1-4 routes per week, with 1-4 overnight layovers per week potentially required.
- Maintain a 5-6 day workweek.
- Ensure secure truck and trailer parking if not living near the terminal.
