CDL-A Flatbed Driver
About The Position
Rouse Trucking is hiring CDL-A flatbed drivers for practical regional freight with dependable lane planning. Drivers can expect to be home every 7-14 days with a 34-48 hour reset. The role involves hauling building materials, pipe, coils, and similar flatbed freight, with tarping required on approximately 3 out of 5 loads. Drivers will be assigned Peterbilt 567/579 equipment and will receive $30 on every load, in addition to paid loaded and empty miles. A $5,000 solo sign-on bonus is offered. The primary running area is generally east of I-35. Drivers should be comfortable with tarping and load securement, as customer needs may affect individual routes. The company operates 2020-2025 Peterbilt tractors and 2024 48-foot spread-axle flatbed trailers, with trucks governed at 70 MPH. Drivers may take their assigned truck home if they have a safe parking place. Transition pay is provided during the first few weeks. One pet is allowed with a $500 non-refundable deposit (no breed or weight restrictions, cats allowed). One passenger is allowed if they are at least 10 years old and the required liability form is completed.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years
- At least 6 months of flatbed experience
- Tarping and load securement experience
