About The Position
HWY Express is seeking experienced CDL-A Regional Drivers for a position based in Indianapolis, IN. This role offers consistent freight, flexible dispatch scheduling, and the opportunity to average 2,500-2,800 weekly miles. Drivers will primarily operate east of I-35 with no-touch dry van freight, including a mix of consumer and automotive products. The position provides a 34-48 hour reset every 7-10 days, with the option for truck and trailer take-home. Orientation is held weekly and includes onboarding pay and travel assistance.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 3 months of recent experience within the last 3 years
- Valid DOT medical physical
Nice To Haves
- Truck and trailer take-home is permitted (drivers responsible for parking arrangements).
Responsibilities
- Operate Peterbilt 579 trucks (three years old or newer) or select Freightliner and International equipment.
- Drive primarily east of I-35.
- Handle 100% no-touch dry van freight, with approximately 70% drop and hook loads.
- Maintain regular dispatch activity and workload opportunities throughout the year.
- Adhere to flexible dispatch scheduling.
- Ensure regular home time with a 34-48 hour reset every 7-10 days.
- Utilize Qualcomm communication systems.
- Participate in orientation sessions.
