About The Position
Drive in a dedicated regional dry van operation based in Oklahoma, hauling freight for Family Dollar across Texas and surrounding states. Drivers average approximately 1,600 miles and complete 2–3 loads per week, with typically 2–6 stops per load. Freight is unloaded using rollers. The operation uses 53-foot dry van trailers and sleeper tractors with automatic transmissions. Drivers have weekly home time with a 34-hour rest period. Compensation is mileage pay plus load pay. Average weekly pay is $1,900, average annual pay is $98,124, top weekly pay is $2,500, and top annualized pay is $129,521. The delivery territory is approximately 75% Texas, with additional routes in Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid DOT Medical Card.
- No SAP drivers.
- Ability to unload freight using rollers.
- Ability to operate a sleeper tractor safely on regional routes and handle multiple delivery stops.
