About The Position

The CDL A Operator transports, removes, delivers, and collects liquid and solid hazardous wastes at customer sites. The role includes loading and unloading trucks and operating a variety of trucks and equipment, including vacuum trucks and box trucks, as well as other equipment that matches the operator’s license when needed. The operator is responsible for safe and compliant cargo handling, vehicle inspections, accurate transportation documentation, timely deliveries, and courteous communication with customers and team members. The position may require overtime and occasional weekend work.

Requirements

• Valid CDL A with a clean driving record.
• Tanker endorsement required.
• Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
• Familiarity and experience working with government documents such as manifests.
• Manual dexterity and ability to lift 75+ lbs.
• Ability to work overtime as required, including occasional weekends.
• Must pass a drug screen and criminal background screening before starting.
• Strong organizational skills and oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, use timelines, and manage time effectively.
• Professional and mature demeanor under stressful situations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Hazmat endorsement strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport, load, and unload liquid and solid hazardous wastes.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, bills of lading, and regulatory manifests.
• Handle and secure cargo properly and comply with safety regulations.
• Deliver products and complete required paperwork courteously and on time.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Keep work sites clean and free of debris.
• Operate vacuum trucks, box trucks, and other equipment matching the operator’s license as needed.
