About The Position

Oak Harbor Freight Lines is hiring local and regional line drivers to transport freight between terminals or meet points across its service area. The position involves operating tractor-trailer combinations, including in challenging weather and road conditions, and meeting reliability and safety standards. Drivers may need to work nights and/or weekends and are home nightly on most routes. Freight is no-touch. Experienced drivers can start at $0.76 per mile or $32.64 per hour, with additional pay for each drop, hook, chain, fuel stop, and wait time.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• One year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Clean driving record, with no DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in the past three years.
• Strong communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Basic proficiency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Chaining is required; training is available.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with double/triples; training is provided.

Responsibilities
