About The Position
The CDL-A Local Truck Driver delivers dedicated retail freight for LIDL from the local distribution facility in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The role averages approximately 1,300 miles per week, with deliveries throughout Virginia and Maryland. Drivers load and unload trailers using an electric pallet jack and reload returned freight back to the distribution center. The trucks have automatic transmissions and pull 53-foot trailers. The position is home daily and follows a five-day workweek that includes weekends, with two consecutive days off each week. The current opening is for the night shift. Drivers must have reliable personal transportation to commute to the Fredericksburg facility. Pay includes mileage pay (CPM) and stop pay; average weekly pay is listed as $1,700 and top weekly pay as $1,750. Average annual pay is listed as $86,892 and top annualized pay as $90,220.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid DOT Medical Card.
- No SAP drivers.
- Reliable personal transportation for daily commuting to the Fredericksburg facility.
