About The Position

CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver – Bell Gardens, CA. Earn $19.25 per hour plus $18.71 per stop hauling intermodal containers throughout the Los Angeles and Inland Empire areas. Enjoy a five-day workweek, daily home time, and day or night shift options with a mix of preloaded and live freight. This role involves local intermodal container operations, operating through rail ramps in Long Beach, Los Angeles, Commerce, City of Industry, and Bloomington. Some required pickups and deliveries will be in the Shafter and Lebec areas. The freight is a mix of drop-and-hook, live loading, live unloading, and preloaded freight, and it is no-touch freight with no driver-assist loads. Drivers will experience automatic dispatch, meaning they do not choose their routes, and it is a slip-seat operation. Trucks are parked at the Bell Gardens yard.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
Clean driving record
Valid DOT Medical Card
No SAP drivers
Must be able to cover assigned Shafter and Lebec pickups and deliveries
Must be comfortable with intermodal operations and automatic dispatch

Responsibilities

Haul intermodal containers throughout the Los Angeles and Inland Empire areas.
Operate through rail ramps in Long Beach, Los Angeles, Commerce, City of Industry, and Bloomington.
Perform required pickups and deliveries in the Shafter and Lebec areas.
