About The Position

POOLCORP is hiring a local CDL driver for its Jet Line location in Medley, Florida. Drivers make safe, complete, accurate, and on-time deliveries to customers while following Department of Transportation and other applicable regulations. Deliveries are local, and drivers are home every night. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; drivers are guaranteed at least 40 hours per week. The position pays $23–$25 per hour, with the opportunity to earn up to $3,000 annually in bonuses. This is a safety-sensitive position. External employment offers are contingent on successful pre-employment drug testing and background verifications. Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Have a valid commercial driver's license; a HAZMAT endorsement is preferred.
Have an MVR and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) record showing no more than two combined violations or at-fault accidents in the past three years.
Be able to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
Have excellent customer service skills.
Have good written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to carry out instructions with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

One year of tractor-trailer experience.
Familiarity with PCs and other material handling equipment.
Moffett, Skelly, or air brake experience.

Responsibilities

Make deliveries using effective routes to ensure orders arrive on time.
Load and unload the vehicle, secure products properly, and separate hazardous materials appropriately.
Collect payments and accurately document deliveries.
Comply with state and federal regulations, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and inform a supervisor of needed maintenance.
Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and presentable.
Increase job and product knowledge on an ongoing basis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
