Local CDL-A Driver – Mileage + Extra Load Pay + $10K BONUS
About The Position
Earn an average of $80,000–$88,000 per year hauling intermodal containers in the Fort Wayne area, with daily runs to Chicago and local customer routes. This dedicated opportunity offers a $5,000 bonus, additional pay for live loads, drop-and-hook moves, delays, and hazmat loads, plus paid time off. Drivers report to the Fort Wayne yard daily for dispatch and truck assignment. Routes include daily trips to Chicago and local work within the surrounding area. The position operates within an approximately 175-mile radius of Fort Wayne. Day-shift freight is approximately 60% drop-and-hook and 40% live load/unload. Automatic trucks only are used, and drivers slip-seat, leaving trucks at the account during time off. Riders are not permitted.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
- Clean driving record
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- No SAP drivers
- Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Transport intermodal containers between customers and rail yards.
- Run to Chicago and back daily, with additional local routes within approximately 100 miles of Fort Wayne.
- Operate within an approximately 175-mile radius of Fort Wayne.
