CDL-A Local Driver – 50 Hours Weekly + $2,000 Bonus
About The Position
This is a dedicated local final-mile retail delivery driving role based at a fulfillment center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Routes typically remain within approximately 250 miles of Salt Lake City and include 2–4 stops per day on predetermined weekly routes. Outbound freight is preloaded. Drivers hand-unload boxes onto conveyor or roller ramps at delivery locations and occasionally use a pallet jack to move palletized freight onto store docks. Occasional warehouse work is required, and rare coverage trips to Idaho or Montana may be needed. The role averages approximately 50 hours per week, with non-peak averages around 40 hours per week, typically from late December through February. Drivers are paid hourly; average annual pay is $82,000 and average weekly pay is approximately $1,600. The schedule is Monday through Saturday, though some weeks may require only five workdays. Start times are between 2:30 AM and 5:00 AM, and average shifts are 10–11 hours. The work is labor-intensive and physically demanding. Freight is stacked floor to ceiling, with approximately 50–300 boxes per stop and 500–700 boxes per trailer. Boxes weigh approximately 2–80 pounds, with most weighing 30–60 pounds. The reporting location is the fulfillment center at 1760 N. 2200 West, Suite 30, Salt Lake City, UT 84116.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 6 months of truck driving experience.
- Reliable transportation to and from the fulfillment center.
- Ability to perform frequent physical unloading and handle heavy boxes.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid DOT Medical Card.
- No SAP drivers.
- Smoking is not allowed in the truck.
- Must wear the required company uniform and steel-toe boots or shoes.
