LOCAL CDL-A Driver
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated CDL-A Local Driver to join our team. In this role, you will operate within a 250-mile radius of Toledo, OH, hauling general commodities for various customers, including food-grade items. Approximately 40-50% of the freight involves pork or pork derivatives. This is a no-touch freight position. A HAZMAT endorsement is required within 60 days of hire, with reimbursement provided with a receipt. Drivers will receive an additional $25 per HAZMAT load. A Tanker endorsement is also required within 60 days of hire, with reimbursement provided with a receipt. Drivers can expect an average of 1100 miles per week, with a shift start time of 1400. The schedule is Thursday through Monday, ensuring you are home every day.
Requirements
- Clean driving record
- DOT Medical card
- Minimum 3 months' tractor-trailer experience
- Valid Class A driver's license
- HAZMAT endorsement required within 60 days of hire
- Tanker endorsement required within 60 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor-trailer within a 250-mile radius of Toledo, OH.
- Haul general commodities, including food-grade items and pork/pork derivatives.
- Perform no-touch freight operations.
- Obtain HAZMAT endorsement within 60 days of hire.
- Obtain Tanker endorsement within 60 days of hire.
- Complete an average of 15-20 drops/hooks per week.
- Complete live load/unload as required.
