About The Position

Sysco is hiring a dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Driver in Missoula, Montana. The driver safely and efficiently operates a tractor-trailer and manually unloads and delivers products—including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies—to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Drivers build relationships with customers through a positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with customer operations to meet their needs and expectations. Routes have early-morning starts based on the route schedule; most Driver Trainees have daily routes and are home nightly. Compensation is $30.21 per hour plus performance incentives. The stated pay figure is not necessarily Sysco’s actual pay range and may be adjusted based on factors such as skills, work location, work experience, and other individualized factors. Applicants must be at least 21, pass employment testing, and hold a valid Class A CDL with a driving record meeting company insurability standards. Commercial vehicle drivers must be able to communicate in English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete reports and records. The position involves touch freight and may require repeatedly lifting, pushing, or moving products averaging 40–60 pounds and weighing up to 100 pounds. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required as business needs dictate.

Requirements

At least 21 years of age.
Pass employment testing.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).
Driving record that meets company insurability standards.
Sufficient English-language ability to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
Ability to handle touch freight, including repeatedly lifting, pushing, or moving products averaging 40–60 pounds and weighing as much as 100 pounds.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

One year of customer delivery experience preferred.
Six months of hand cart or hand truck experience preferred.
Six months of food and beverage experience preferred.
Two years of consistent work history preferred.
