About The Position

Looking for a CDL driving position that keeps you close to home and lets you work a consistent daytime schedule? Blessings of Hope is looking for a dependable CDL-A Jockey Driver to support our warehouse operations by moving trailers safely and efficiently throughout our yard. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys driving without spending days on the road.

Requirements

• Able to speak and read English
• Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug/alcohol test
• Able to complete a Post Offer / Pre-Employment Physical Test
• Able to complete background check
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, HOS rules, and basic tractor/trailer safety
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Able to work in outdoor weather conditions year-round
• Must be able to lift/pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
• Able to safely operate both manual and automatic transmissions

Responsibilities

• Jump in where needed to keep operations moving
• Keep trailers, trucks, and pallet jacks organized and clearly staged so dock operations flow smoothly and safely
• Check batteries, report mechanical issues, top off fluids when assigned, and assist with small fixes (lights, glad hands, dock plates, etc.)
• Shuttle trailers between yard spots, docks, and operational areas
• Back trailers into tight dock and yard spaces with precision
• Coordinate trailer placements with warehouse and dispatch
• Verify trailer numbers and paperwork upon movement
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and organization safety policies
• Support special projects during peak volume or emergencies
• Maintain clean tractor interior and yard safety practices
