About The Position
Enjoy daily home time on a local intermodal account serving the Inland Empire and Los Angeles area. Drivers handle container freight across multiple Southern California ramps, with consistent daily work and experienced-driver requirements. This auto-dispatch account involves slip-seat operations with trucks parked at the San Bernardino yard. Some routes travel north through the Grapevine to Shafter/Lebec, requiring coverage. No driver-assist loads are involved.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 6 months of verifiable CDL-A experience
- First Seat / Experienced Driver
- Clean driving record
- DOT Medical Card
- No SAP Drivers
Nice To Haves
- Hazmat not required
Responsibilities
- Handle container freight across multiple Southern California ramps
- Service the Inland Empire and Los Angeles area
- Make freight runs through ramps in Long Beach, Los Angeles, Commerce, City of Industry, and Bloomington
- Travel north through the Grapevine to Shafter/Lebec on some routes
- Complete an average of 3-6 loads per day
- Manage drop & hook, live load, live unload, and preloaded freight
- Operate within an auto-dispatch system
- Participate in slip-seat operations
- Provide coverage for Shafter/Lebec deliveries and pickups
