About The Position

Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), a division of Pacific Northern Environmental LLC, is seeking a CDL Class A Hazmat Driver. This role is crucial for safely transporting hazardous materials and other materials from job sites to disposal locations. The driver will also be involved in hands-on work with the field team. Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC operates across multiple states and specializes in various construction, electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal services. CCS specifically serves pulp and paper mills, major oil companies, and other industrial clients in the Pacific Northwest, handling complex industrial cleaning challenges.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid Driver’s License Required.
  • Must possess a valid Class A Tanker endorsement, and Hazmat endorsement.
  • 2-3 years’ experience driving DOT regulated vehicles is required.
  • Must be able to successfully complete and maintain a valid DOT physical examination, including baseline and annual/periodic recertification.
  • Must be able to successfully complete baseline and annual/periodic audiometric testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience driving Hazmat materials strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate truck controls to engage, move, and reposition vacuum hoses when operating a vacuum truck.
  • Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
  • Drive in accordance with all company safety policies and within all laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Complete DOT required pre and post trip inspections, completing any required paperwork.
  • Operate box van carrying drums with a lift gate for pick-up and/or delivery.
  • Operate truck according to instructions from dispatch or supervisor.
  • Load, unload, and set up vacuum hoses at job site when operating the vacuum truck.
  • Report all accidents and injuries and complete an accident report form.
  • Ensure all loads are properly secured prior to driving and maintain safety while driving.
  • Other duties as assigned.
