About The Position

Ewing Outdoor Supply is seeking a dependable, safety-focused CDL driver for its operations team. This diverse driving role involves planning delivery routes, transporting materials to customers, and transferring materials between locations. The position is suited to someone who enjoys active work in a fast-paced, team-oriented wholesale environment serving contractors and industry professionals. The driver is expected to maintain vehicle safety and maintenance standards and provide excellent customer service at delivery sites.

Requirements

Proven work experience as a CDL Driver.
Valid CDL license; the posting specifies CDL A or B.
Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software such as GPS, AVL units, and CB.
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
No recent moving or driving violations.
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations such as traffic and weather conditions.
Willingness to submit to background and drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
Ability to operate forklifts and other yard equipment.
Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
Transport materials to and from retail or distribution centers, customer job sites, and warehouses.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for mechanical items and safety issues.
Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles.
Follow CDL rules and regulations, including requirements for size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods, as well as company policies and procedures.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations.
Communicate effectively with team members to fulfill orders and resolve issues.
Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with customers during deliveries.
