About The Position

American Driver is expanding its OTR fleet and has open positions for entry level Class A drivers on Eastern routes, driving out of Mobile, AL. Mobile's location on the Gulf Coast puts you right at the start of some of the most consistent freight lanes in the Southeast. Paid training is included, meaning no experience is needed to get started. The job involves dry van, no-touch freight with heavy drop and hook (around 60%). Drivers can expect to drive 2,200–2,500 miles weekly on Eastern routes with predictable dispatch. After training, drivers will transition to solo driving at $0.56 CPM. Home time is planned every two weeks. Trucks are late-model Freightliner or Kenworth (2022–2025) with APUs on every unit.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Graduates of an accredited CDL program with at least 120 hours of instruction are eligible for paid training.
  • Clean record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
  • No DUI in the last 5 years.
  • Must pass hair follicle and urine screening.

Responsibilities

  • Drive dry van, no-touch freight.
  • Perform heavy drop and hook operations.
  • Complete 2,200–2,500 miles weekly.
  • Operate on Eastern routes with predictable dispatch.
  • Participate in a paid training program covering pre-trip inspections and ELD compliance.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding pet and rider policies.
