About The Position

Imperial Trading Co., LLC is hiring CDL-A Route Delivery Drivers for our Cedartown Distribution Center. This is a hands-on route delivery position, not a drop-and-hook driving job. Drivers deliver directly to our customers and unload product at each stop using a hand truck. New drivers begin by covering established local and regional routes based on business needs. Some routes return to Cedartown the same day, while others require one overnight stay. As dedicated routes become available, route coverage drivers may have opportunities to move into a dedicated route assignment.

Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
Current Department of Transportation medical card
At least 21 years old
Acceptable driving record under Company and insurance requirements
Ability to successfully complete a road test
Ability to meet applicable Department of Transportation drug and alcohol requirements
Ability and willingness to work both local and overnight routes
Ability to perform the physical requirements of a touch-freight delivery position

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of Class A driving experience
Additional experience is preferred, but qualified candidates with at least six months of experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on assigned delivery routes
Deliver products directly to customer locations
Unload freight at each stop using a hand truck
Handle cases and products weighing up to approximately 50-75 pounds
Verify deliveries and complete required documentation
Provide professional service to customers
Perform required vehicle inspections and follow Company and Department of Transportation safety requirements
