About The Position
TOMRA, an international recycling company, is looking for a CDL-A Route Driver in Syracuse, NY. This role involves preparing, receiving, and providing documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods, loading, securing, and unloading cargo, and maintaining contact with the dispatcher. The driver will also maintain customer relations while on route, use a handheld device to track inventory and client relations, and will be required to lift 25-50lbs at a time.
Requirements
- 1 year of CDLA Driving experience
- Must have a "satisfactory" driving record
- Ability lift 25-50lbs.
- Knowledgeable on how to use handheld devices like smart phones or other similar devices, or ability to learn these skills
- Experience in client relations
Responsibilities
- Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service
- Loads, secures and unloads cargo
- Maintains contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up
- Maintain customer relations while on route
- Lifting 25-50lbs at a time while loading and unloading trucks
- Use of handheld device to track inventory and client relations
