Berger Moving & Storage is seeking a CDL A DRIVER/WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE to join our team in Atlanta, GA. Our CDL A Driver/Warehouse Associates assists with loading and unloading of the trailers, and move trailers in and out of the docks. They are a key member of our warehouse team, helping with inventory control and other general warehouse duties.

Requirements

  • CDL Class A required
  • 1 year warehouse experience is required (Moving & Storage industry experience is highly preferred)
  • Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in the safe operation of forklifts, reach trucks, pallet pickers and other material handling equipment
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, stressful environment
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be willing and able to pass DOT physical, criminal and MVR background checks
  • Must be able and willing to lift up to 50 lbs, carrying, pushing and/or pulling
  • Must be able and willing to perform job with temperature extremes

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with shipping, receiving, unloading and loading of trailers
  • Move trailers in and out of the docks
  • Moving materials and items from storage areas to designated shipping areas
  • Pad wrapping and paper pad wrapping furniture
  • Vaulting and un-vaulting shipments
  • Use the warehouse locator system using Asset Controls Windfall program for commercial and residential goods
  • Ensure good housekeeping and clean up including the parking lot grounds
  • Other duties as assigned by management
