Berger Moving & Storage is seeking a CDL A DRIVER/WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE to join our team in Atlanta, GA. Our CDL A Driver/Warehouse Associates assists with loading and unloading of the trailers, and move trailers in and out of the docks. They are a key member of our warehouse team, helping with inventory control and other general warehouse duties.
Requirements
- CDL Class A required
- 1 year warehouse experience is required (Moving & Storage industry experience is highly preferred)
- Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in the safe operation of forklifts, reach trucks, pallet pickers and other material handling equipment
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, stressful environment
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be willing and able to pass DOT physical, criminal and MVR background checks
- Must be able and willing to lift up to 50 lbs, carrying, pushing and/or pulling
- Must be able and willing to perform job with temperature extremes
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assist with shipping, receiving, unloading and loading of trailers
- Move trailers in and out of the docks
- Moving materials and items from storage areas to designated shipping areas
- Pad wrapping and paper pad wrapping furniture
- Vaulting and un-vaulting shipments
- Use the warehouse locator system using Asset Controls Windfall program for commercial and residential goods
- Ensure good housekeeping and clean up including the parking lot grounds
- Other duties as assigned by management
