The CDL-A Driver Trainee operates dry van loads from Denver east, excluding the Northeast. The work includes a mix of drop-and-hook and live loads. Trainees receive 4 to 6 weeks of training with an experienced driver and earn $650 per week during training. Orientation lasts 2 days or less and pays $300; bus travel to orientation is reimbursed and lodging is provided. After training, drivers are guaranteed $1,000 per week for their first 3 months solo, with average weekly pay of $1,200 to $1,800 and $15 stop pay. Drivers get home every two weeks. The role uses late-model trucks with automatic and manual transmissions. Pets and riders are allowed after training is completed.
