About The Position
Smithfield Foods is seeking a professional truck driver for a regional role based in Greenfield, IN. Drivers will operate late model Freightliner tractors pulling 53’ reefer trailers, making dispatches to plants, company distribution centers, and customer distribution centers. Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- 1-year CDL Class A driving tractor trailer or reefer experience required.
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Transport and deliver freight over the road over long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Represent the Company and the trucking industry in a professional manner.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
