About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a local CDL-A delivery driver to deliver food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and other customers while building customer relationships. The position offers local routes and day shifts, with drivers home every day. Drivers unload deliveries, including cases weighing up to 100 pounds, using a ramp and two-wheeler. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 5 a.m. and continuing until the route is finished. Compensation is $75,000–$85,000 per year, with a guaranteed minimum of $1,100 per week, daily base pay, and additional component pay for miles driven, stops made, and cases delivered.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a Class A CDL at the time of hire.
Be able to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds.
Be able to lift up to 100 pounds throughout the shift.
Be able to read, write, and communicate in English to handle labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company information, paperwork, and verbal instructions.
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
Have a clean driving record meeting DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
Be registered with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.
