About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a local CDL A Delivery Driver based at 11303 Antoine Dr, Houston, Texas 77066. The driver delivers food products to customers including restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities, building relationships with customers along the way. Routes are local, with home time every day. Drivers unload cases weighing up to 100 pounds and use a ramp and two-wheeler during their shifts.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting between 3 AM and 5 AM and continuing until the route is finished. Drivers receive daily base pay plus component pay for miles driven, stops made, and cases delivered. The stated average annual pay is $65,000–$90,000, with a guaranteed minimum of $1,250 for a five-day week.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL license at hire.
• 1–2 years of driving experience.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds throughout the shift.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for job-related tasks and instructions.
• Successfully pass a drug test, including testing for marijuana, and a background check.
• Clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
• Register with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.
