About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a local CDL-A delivery driver in Chillicothe, Ohio. The driver delivers food products to customers including restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities while building customer relationships. Local routes and day shifts allow drivers to be home every day. The work includes unloading cases weighing up to 100 pounds and using a ramp and two-wheeler during the shift. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 5 a.m. and continuing until the route is finished. Compensation is $75,000–$85,000 per year, with a guaranteed minimum of $1,100 per week. Pay includes daily base pay and component pay for each mile driven, stop made, and case delivered. Benefits plans begin on the first day. Drivers are guaranteed a route and paid weekly.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL license at hire.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds throughout the shift.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test, including assessment for marijuana use, and a background check.
• Clean driving record meeting DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
• Registration with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and electronic consent.
