CDL-A Container Driver – Good Pay + Local Routes
About The Position
Earn $1,200–$1,400 per week hauling intermodal containers on a local account based in Chicago, Illinois. Enjoy daily home time, day or night shift options, and frequent drop-and-hook operations, with routes extending into nearby states. This role involves local intermodal container operations running throughout Chicago and into Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, and Indiana. While drop-and-hook operations are common, especially at night, some live loading and unloading may occur. Drivers will experience out-of-state routes while still returning home daily, and must be comfortable with Chicago traffic.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Experienced, first-seat drivers only
- Clean driving record
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- No SAP drivers
- Must be comfortable with Chicago traffic and local or out-of-state runs
Responsibilities
- Haul intermodal containers on a local account.
- Operate routes throughout Chicago and into Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, and Indiana.
- Perform drop-and-hook operations.
- Conduct some live loading and unloading.
