The CCU/PCU Clinical Nurse Coordinator is a Full-Time, Third Shift position within the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at BHCOR in Corbin, KY. The PCU is a 20-bed unit equipped for 24-hour central telemetry monitoring, serving patients aged 16 to geriatric. This unit is designed for patients with moderate to potentially severe physiological instability who require technical support but not necessarily artificial life support. The Clinical Coordinator functions as a clinical pathway and population-based clinician, responsible for promoting patient safety and high-quality care through clinical leadership, education, consultation, and modeling. This role involves integrating evidence-based practice, theory, and research into patient care settings by collaborating with multi-professional groups, facilitating the development of hospital and department policies, nursing procedures, regulatory standards, and guidelines, and conducting research. Additionally, the role includes functioning as a community resource, providing nursing orientation, education, and ongoing competency verification. The Clinical Coordinator serves as a role model for caring, honoring the patient's mind, body, and spirit.
