About The Position

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a highly motivated student for a CCS Electrical Engineering Co-op position to help reduce the engineering backlog. This role offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to build skills within a flexible and dynamic environment. The co-op will be responsible for completing engineering backlog items, including the development of a manufacturing test set for a control chassis assembly, under the guidance of the CCS Electrical Engineer. The position also involves learning about CCS products and supporting the Electrical Engineer in their tasks.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering (Electrical track) with a minimum of 4 semesters of core engineering coursework completed.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, pinout tables, connector topologies, and block diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience operating digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, function generators, and power supplies.
  • Firm grasp of Ohm’s Law, Kirchhoff's laws, signal routing, grounding techniques, pull-up/pull-down resistor logic, and basic filtering.
  • High detail orientation in maintaining lab notes, tracking revision changes, and producing clean drawing packages suitable for regulated environments.

  • Previous projects, team competitions, or internships in Electrical Engineering
  • Active problem-solving mindset combined with the self-awareness to ask senior engineers for guidance when encountering technical roadblocks.

Responsibilities

  • Completing engineering backlog items with the oversight of the CCS Electrical Engineer, including the development of a manufacturing test set for a control chassis assembly.
  • Working independently and communicating progress in a clear and concise manner.
  • Learning and acquiring respective theory and know how, techniques, methods, tools and processes related to CCS products.
  • Supporting the CCS Electrical Engineer in his tasks and responsibilities.
