About The Position

The Journalism & Media Studies department is seeking an equipment manager to oversee their audio/visual equipment. This role involves managing the check-in and check-out process, maintaining records, and ensuring equipment is returned and stored properly. The position requires a candidate who is organized, methodical, and reliable. Preference will be given to juniors and seniors, and students in the Engineering program are particularly encouraged to apply. This position is not open to Journalism and Media Studies students.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting equipment bags for all important items prior to check out.
• Inspecting the bags when returned to ensure all items have been brought back in good order.
• Keeping written check in and check out records of equipment.
• Following up with students with late equipment via email.
• Keeping the equipment room in good order by ensuring all equipment is returned to its proper and organized place.
• Staying in contact with the CCJ director via email on late equipment returns.
