About The Position
This position is for a full-time CC Child Care Assistant for the summer (July-August). The role involves working with children in a child care setting, offering opportunities for laughs and memorable experiences. The Y is committed to providing a safe environment for children and vulnerable individuals, and all applicants will be thoroughly screened.
Requirements
- A genuine interest in working with children
- Full time hours with no nights or weekends
- Applicants aged 18-29 at the start of employment
- Willingness to obtain Emergency First Aid and CPR C certification
- Clear Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Training or experience with children is an asset
Responsibilities
- Plan and participate in children's activities
- Maintain a clean and safe daycare environment
- Work with preschool and/or school aged children
