About The Position

The CBRN Analyst (Mid-level)- Capability Integrator supports the functional area of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (CBRND)/ Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD). Primary duties will include (but not limited to) : A deep understanding of CBRND/ CWMD theater vectors, biological/chemical/radiological hazards and how vulnerabilities manifest across operational environments. Proficiency in assessing risk, evaluating the severity of capability gaps and determining the operational impact of unmitigated threats. Understanding how material (hardware/equipment) solutions contribute to comprehensive risk reduction. And bring the ability to rigorously review Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTE) proposals to determine whether an emerging technology can realistically close a specific operational gap.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of CBRND /CWMD plans, policies, capabilities, organizations and general efforts within Department of War (DOW).
  • Service Experience in health physics, radiation science, nuclear engineering or nuclear effects.
  • Understanding of radiation principles, detection, effects, exposure and hazard mitigation.
  • Knowledgeable in Service and Joint Forces operations and understanding Service capabilities.
  • BA or BS degree required.
  • At least 10-12 years of relevant technical area experience (comparable to retired/separated O4/CWO4/E9 or above or a former GS-13 or above).
  • Three (3) years’ experience on Joint Staff, OSD, COCOM or Service Staff.
  • Active TS/SCI required.
