CBO Specialist - Remote
About The Position
A Billing Specialist at ProMedica ensures the billing, posting and collection for ProMedica Physicians and other ProMedica entities. You will input billing information and review insurance information by verifying benefits, limits, and patient obligations. You will review debits, credits, refunds, bad debt and contractual allowances for accuracy and process, as necessary. In this role, you will work with management on issues that get in the way of quality billing and work to resolve those issues. The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. It should not be considered exhaustive.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year experience in Professional/Physician credentialing, registration, billing, customer service or collection
- At least 6 months' experience specific to credentialing and/or billing office work
