This role is for a Cattle Procurement Associate who will be trained in various areas to gain skills and knowledge for a procurement leadership role. After training, the associate will be placed in a territory to purchase grain-fed cattle for Cargill's harvest facilities. The role provides exposure to meat processing production, including food safety, production management, process flow, yields, variances, USDA regulations, accounting, and information technologies. Additional training includes people leadership, OSHA requirements, ergonomics, safety, HACCP, good manufacturing practices, coaching, and Human Resources practices. The training is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the business before placement in a role aligned with business needs. The associate will learn to schedule daily production, maintain live inventory, and purchase cattle from producers.
