About The Position
The Catholic RE Coordinator plans, administers, and teaches the Catholic Religious Education Program for children and youth (Pre-K through 12th grade) at Los Angeles AFB. Services are delivered in accordance with Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) guidance and under the supervision of the Contract Catholic Priest.
Requirements
- Confirmed Roman Catholic in good standing.
- Minimum 3 years of Catholic religious education experience.
- High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
- Ability to pass background investigation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly Sunday Catholic RE classes.
- Provide sacramental preparation (First Reconciliation, Confirmation).
- Coordinate curriculum, volunteers, youth ministry, and annual VBS.
- Maintain student records, reports, calendar, and budget submissions.
- Recruit and train volunteers; conduct monthly training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with background checks and AMS Safe Environment requirements.
