About The Position
The Catholic Priest Chaplain ministers to patients, their families, and staff at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus. The chaplain provides sacraments and Mass, including Anointing of the Sick, and performs other duties as needed. The role also uses advanced keyboarding and data-entry skills to process information accurately in a fast-paced environment. Travel of up to 20% is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Theology or a related field.
- Ecclesiastical endorsement.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Master of Divinity, Doctor of Divinity, Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies, or Master of Theology.
- One year of chaplain experience in a healthcare institution.
- Familiarity with the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare Services.
- National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) certification or The National Catholic Bioethics Center qualification.
