About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is seeking a part-time Catholic Nursery/PK2 caregiver for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role involves 14 hours per week at our center near Chicago in Lemont, IL. While a teaching certification or formal teaching experience is not required, we are looking for individuals with a deep love for the Catholic faith and the ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church. The academy is a classical homeschool program in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Childcare/nursery is provided for employees, and curriculum and grading guidelines will be supplied. Tutors will receive training on instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, good organization, punctuality, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be actively living the Catholic faith, including having received all appropriate sacraments. All staff are required to complete a background check and mandatory staff training. Hours are 8:15 am - 3:15 pm during the academic year. A mandatory training day will be held on August 3, 4, or 5, 2026 (TBD), from 8 am to 5 pm, with no childcare provided (nursing babies are welcome).

Requirements

  • Must complete a background check.
