The Catholic Chaplain to the School of Nursing and The School of Health advances Georgetown University's Campus Ministry mission and vision in collaboration with the Chaplain to the Medical Center and staff colleagues from Catholic Ministry. The Chaplain upholds and promotes the Catholic identity, Jesuit mission and Ignatian spiritual tradition among diverse students and staff. They are responsible for providing pastoral presence, spiritual direction, and support to the Nursing and Health School communities. The Catholic Chaplain reports to the Director of Catholic Life and works in collaboration with the Catholic Chaplain to the Medical Center. They serve as a primary spiritual resource for students, faculty, staff through programs, retreats, spiritual direction, and pastoral counseling. They supervise student worker/s and volunteers as required. In collaboration with the Catholic Chaplain to the Medical Center, The Chaplain promotes the Catholic and Jesuit identity at school ceremonies and events. They have a significant impact on the spiritual lives of students, faculty and staff, and serve as a partner in our Catholic and Ignatian traditions.
