About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cardiac catheterization procedures, including both scrubbing and circulating, and a solid understanding of interventional cardiology workflows. This is a high-acuity, fast-paced cath lab environment with an opportunity for extension based on performance and facility needs. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork, technical expertise, and patient safety.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Prior travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
- Strong experience in both circulating and scrubbing roles
- Experience in a community hospital setting required
- Ability to take call and work rotating weekends
- Flexibility to float and adapt to schedule changes
- ARRT (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Fluoroscopy Permit (Required)
- Degree or certification in Radiologic Technology or a related field
Nice To Haves
- Electrophysiology (EP) experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Perform and support procedures such as PCI, PTCA, stent placements, and heart catheterizations
- Assist with permanent and temporary pacemaker insertions
- Maintain sterile field and function effectively as both scrub and circulator
- Perform EKG lead placement and monitor cardiac rhythms
- Support electrophysiology (EP) procedures (preferred)
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to procedural and radiation safety protocols
- Work across inpatient and outpatient settings as needed
